A Bit About My Journey.
I was always an active kid. We didn’t grow up with much, so I kept myself busy to keep my mind occupied. Childhood games like hide-and-seek, racing, dodge ball, freeze tag, etc, were my forte! But as I grew older, those games evolved into track and field, basketball, and weightlifting.
Each of us is different, anatomically. I’d consider myself a mix between an ectomorph and mesomorph, leaning more toward ectomorph. I was either the tallest or second-tallest student in class through grade school and was only second tallest maybe once or twice during my studies at university (I’m 6’5″).
With my tall, ectomorphic frame and lack of calorie-dense diet growing up (not to mention my lack of education on the subject), it was near impossible for me to put on any muscle early on. All I knew was protein, protein, PROTEIN! Little did I know protein is but one facet of a well-balanced, muscle-building diet, not the ONLY facet. Once I dedicated time to researching and reading articles on websites like this one, I began to implement principles I learned into my lifestyle and see results-driven by empirical data and my own consistency and dedication!
This journey is lifelong, however. We don’t reach the top of the mountain, grab a recliner, and stay there. Reaching our fitness goal is only half the battle; the other half is maintaining!
Lean = Continuous Improvement.
I live this lean muscle lifestyle and am passionate about learning about the most efficient way to achieve and maintain. Our time is the most valuable resource we have at our disposal as it’s finite and irretrievable. Realistically, we want the best results in the shortest amount of time in every aspect of our lives.
Health and fitness are no exception.
My goal is to create a community of students who love to learn about methods to sculpt their dream bodies and provide our readers with the most relevant information about building that lean, mean muscle and keeping the unhealthy fat to a minimum!
